Lavenham Village Hall, Suffolk

Description

The new multi-purpose village hall was constructed using a steel frame, masonry walls, aluminium curtain walling, Spanish slate roof coverings and Siberian larch external cladding. The hall also benefitted from a Junkers sprung floor allowing activities such as badminton, amateur dramatics and dance.

 

This project was presented with a RIBA Spirit of Ingenuity Award in 2005.
