Brooks and Wood are a well recognised and respected local construction business who have been trading for over forty five years. An exciting opportunity has arisen within the accounting department and as such we are now advertising for the following position;
Accounts Assistant – Full time
The role consists generally of the following duties;
- Weekly payroll for 50 employees
- Sales ledger
- Purchase ledger supervision
- Journals and reconciliations – wage analysis, credit card, petty cash, stock
- Setting up of new jobs, customers, suppliers, bank details
- General assistance to Company Accountant
Although full training will be given the applicant must have at least 5 years experience in a similar role and should be familiar in carrying out the above tasks. It would be beneficial for the candidate to have previous experience within the building trade, namely the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) and relating to that the DRC VAT rules. In return the successful applicant will be provided with a competitive salary, an annual bonus scheme alongside other employment benefits.
